Ing. Michael “Mikkel” Olthof is a Leiden-based artist who merges art, science, engineering, and design to translate technical expertise into captivating works that challenge our everyday assumptions. With a background in Industrial Design, a master’s in Next Level Engineering, and ongoing studies in Media Technology, Mikkel draws on both vintage mechanisms and cutting-edge tools to craft interactive pieces that play with perception.
